In Ontario, every neighbourhood has its own Business Improvement Association (BIA) tasked with lobbying the local government on behalf of business owners in that community. Members of the board of each BIA are usually comprised of business leaders and community activists from that particular neighbourhood. Their goal essentially is to bring in new customers into their jurisdiction by way of creative marketing.
When first approached by the Chair of the Queen Street West BIA, we were already familiar with the culture of the neighbourhood given that many of our team members lived in the area. Queen Street West is considered to be one of the hippest neighbourhoods in North America because of the remarkable art, music, food and hospitality industries that adorn the streetscape.
We are a longtime ally of the BIA, partnering with their board to deliver all of their content marketing efforts to amplify their neighbourhood and grow its reputation. We have helped to develop their branding material for outdoor music festivals, marketing material for community outreach programs and also ad campaigns aimed at motivating community members amidst the current pandemic.
These long-term partnerships with our clients allow us to stay involved with the evolving brand and develop reliable content to amplify their digital strategy.
